How Vehicle Sourcing Works at ACE Motors

A plain explanation of how ACE Motors finds vehicles through dealer-only wholesale auctions, what the sourcing fee covers, and how the four-option process works.

ACE Motors LLC is a licensed Louisiana dealership in Baton Rouge, but we do not operate like a traditional used car lot. Instead of stocking hundreds of vehicles and hoping one matches what you want, we do the opposite: you tell us exactly what you are looking for, and we go find it.

What vehicle sourcing actually is

Vehicle sourcing is a personalized search service. Wholesale dealer auctions run constantly across the country, and only licensed dealers can buy from them. Those auctions are where lease returns, bank repossessions, fleet vehicles and trade-ins are sold before they ever reach a retail lot. Because we are a licensed dealer, ACE Motors has access to those lanes. Because you hire us, you get that access through us.

How a request works, step by step

• You submit a request. Year range, make, model, trim, mileage, colors, features, and your approved purchase budget. The more specific you are, the better we can match.
• We meet at a consultation. We review your criteria together, confirm the budget is realistic for what you want, and answer questions.
• You pay a one-time sourcing fee. The fee is shown on the sourcing page and is separate from your vehicle budget. It pays for the search work, and it is verified before the search begins.
• We search the auctions. We review the inventory that matches your criteria, including the vehicle information and photos the auction discloses, and we inspect, test drive and Autel-scan when access to the vehicle allows.
• You review up to four options. Each option includes mileage, location, auction details, condition notes, photos and an estimated price, so you can compare real vehicles instead of guesses.
• You approve one and we bid. We bid within your approved budget. If we win the vehicle, we handle the paperwork, title process and transport.
• You pick it up or we deliver. Pickup in Baton Rouge is always free, and delivery is free within 250 miles. Beyond that, we quote the delivery cost before transport is booked.

What the fee covers

The sourcing fee covers the work of locating, reviewing, presenting and pursuing vehicles on your behalf: the search, the auction access, the option review, the bidding coordination and the status updates in your client portal. It is not a vehicle payment and it does not count toward the purchase price.

What is guaranteed, and what is not

Auctions are live competition, so no specific vehicle or purchase can be guaranteed. An approved option is a target we pursue, not a completed purchase. What we can promise is transparency: you see what we see, you control the budget, and nothing is bid on without your approval.

The AS-IS policy

Every vehicle we sell is sold AS-IS with no dealer warranty. Inspections, test drives and diagnostic scans help evaluate the vehicle at the time of purchase, but they do not create a warranty. We require every customer to acknowledge this in writing before a search begins and again before selecting a vehicle, because honest expectations are part of the service.
